Reverse Engineering

When OEM bearings are no longer available or lead times are unacceptable, Keene Industrial Solutions can reverse-engineer and manufacture exact replacements. Using advanced 3D scanning, material analysis, and precision machining, we replicate bearing geometry, clearances, and material specifications to ensure seamless integration.

Restoration Services

Babbitt Reconditioning

Our Babbitt reconditioning service restores worn or damaged bearings to OEM specifications. We strip old Babbitt material, inspect the steel backing for cracks or fatigue, apply new Babbitt via centrifugal or static casting, and precision machine to the required clearances.

This process extends bearing life significantly at a fraction of the cost of new replacements, minimizing downtime and keeping your equipment running reliably.

Our Reconditioning Process:

  2. Steel backing inspection (MPI/Dye penetrant)
  3. New Babbitt application (centrifugal or static)
